Outpatient Treatment with 12-Step Integration
At Cumberland Heights, we have seen the benefits of integrating the 12-step model into our treatment plans. Having a 12-step community while in recovery provides support and an opportunity to learn from others in the program. By combining our evidence-based treatment plans with 12-step programming, you receive the individualized care you need alongside a community of others in recovery.
PTSD & Trauma-Focused
For those who have experienced trauma, the impact on their lives can be debilitating. Flashbacks, anxiety, agitation, and a disconnection from the present are some of the most common symptoms of trauma and could be indicators of post-traumatic stress disorder. Attempting to manage these symptoms independently often leads to the condition worsening.
At Cumberland Heights, our trauma-informed therapists understand the complexities of managing trauma-related illnesses such as military PTSD. Our compassionate therapists will work with you to create a treatment plan that focuses on the source of your trauma while helping you develop coping skills to manage your symptoms. This is especially vital for military men and women who have been traumatized during a deployment.
In-Network With TRICARE
We know addiction treatment can feel financially overwhelming, so we have partnered with a number of insurance providers to make your recovery as accessible as possible. Many members of our Clarksville community are either military service members or their families. We understand the unique dynamics and needs of those who serve and the ones who depend on them.
We have partnered with TRICARE to allow these members of our community receive the addiction treatment they need, covered by insurance. We also work with the local Veterans Court.
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
We care for all our patients though a DEI lens, meaning we look at treatment protocols and cultural norms, constantly asking ourselves whether they work for everyone, and how they might be adjusted to embrace and celebrate the uniqueness of individuals. Cumberland Heights is an inclusive organization that honors, serves and advocates those who belong to marginalized and unrepresented communities. We are a safe space for those with diverse backgrounds, beliefs, and lifestyles.
